Inside L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts Singapore
Van Cleef & Arpels' education arm brings gemstone literacy to the region.

Long before a customer decides whether a ruby is worth the asking price, someone has to teach them what to look for which is precisely the gap L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts was built to fill.
Backed by Van Cleef & Arpels but run as an independent, non-commercial institution, its Singapore programme has hosted exhibitions such as 'Ruby, Discover the Gemstones', pairing hands-on gemmology classes with the kind of decorative-arts history usually reserved for auction-house specialists. For a region where jewellery buying is often driven by investment logic as much as aesthetics, that kind of gemstone literacy has quietly become its own form of luxury education.
