Art Basel Hong Kong closed its 2026 edition with strong sales across every market segment and 91,500 visitors through the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre stable against 2025's turnout and up sharply from 2024's 75,000.

The fair brought together 240 exhibitors from 41 countries, making it the third-largest fair in the MCH Group's global portfolio behind Art Basel in Switzerland and Art Basel Miami Beach, but still comfortably Asia's largest, ahead of KIAF, India Art Fair, Frieze Seoul and Art SG. Organisers confirmed a new five-year collaboration with Hong Kong's Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, a deal aimed squarely at cementing the city's role as the region's central meeting point for collectors, museums and galleries for the rest of the decade.

Representatives from more than 170 museums and foundations across 27 countries attended, from the Centre Pompidou to Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.
