Runway attention this NYFW season was, in several of the week's biggest shows, arguably won at the accessories table rather than on the rack.

Coach's contribution to the week's accessories story came dressed as celebration rather than commerce: bags and footwear finished with confetti, glitter and even cracked red nail polish effects, alongside blazers and coats decorated with hanging watch-case necklaces and metallic bow-shaped brooches - accessories built specifically to read as the physical debris of a birthday party rather than conventional standalone pieces.
